BOTB

sad to say we did not make it through to the finals for BOTB youth 2008.

we had this kick ass song arrangement credits to dryck but i guess we lacked more time to jam that song.

feel really bad after that.i shall dedicate this post to my bandmates.

Dryck the teacher.obviously without him i would'nt be anywhere near a guitar today. heck i don't even bloody know whats a guitar solo back then. i'm a friggin frog under a coconut shell.

anyways. one of the best guitarists around.

Samuel. recently just met him. his the drummer in case you hadn't notice. one heck of a guy. humble, down to earth, and his a friggin good drummer.its pretty easy to get along with him.

Jacq lead vocals. sweet vocals. sweet looks. anyone want to add? personally i thinks thats one of the reasons our band went through. hahaha who would have the heart to boo such a sweet girl off stage! roar. that person must have no heart. joking joking.

and of course, my long time hardcore buddy lee yee ler.without him setting the high standards that he always does and hardcoring all the time, i would have remained stagnant for a very long time.

i kinda feel like another stage of my life has passed me by. and i have not made full use of it.

i'm kinda like dragging myself through everday. getting up from bed. routine. going back to bed. getting up again next morning and go on the same routine. it gets really draggy. sigh.

frankly i dont know what i'm blaberring about. anyways. done with this post. next post tmr.=)

youth 2008

Youth 2008 Battle Of The Bands.

Infuse is the band. we played a cover of nothing's going to stop us now. I'm glad that the band decided to play this song. I loved it the first time i heard it and it was randomly that i mentioned to dryck about this song.

and few days later we were jamming it and making improvisations to it. It was at first an old song, then turned punk by the starting line. now its caught between punk rock and the old song as we kindaof combined both elements.

I think we kinda did okay. we had the judge singing along to our tune. =)

Yeeler did some beatboxing for the intro and outro of the song. i thought it was great.

Now we are through to the next stage. Later at around 7 pm we will be battling out the second round with 14 other bands. 31 bands registered. 15 now remain.

Please please do come by if you can. urmmm i guess we really need support. the crowd are really really dead and only respond to "metal" songs. If its convenient or you dont really have anything to do. please please do come support . =) inform me if you're coming! your support really does matter. the " cheers" from the crowd carries marks for the band . shall update more on this BOB later. really deprived of sleep now.

skipping soundcheck tmr for calculus 2. 8-10. urgh. brain freeze.i shall go get 3 hours more of sleep now. see ya all =)

Red FM.

this past wednesday. InFUSE which consists of dryck, jacq, samuel, yeeler and ym were invited to red FM studio for interview in conjuction of the Youth 2008 battle of the bands.

Went To Inti SJ for jamming first. hardcore jamming session from 6-10.

equipment there top class. plug points half broken, amps go on and off as they please. drums spoiled.

anyways, right after that we went to the redFM studio in KL.

while parking i accidentally touched the other car. thank god it was a rubber bumper. thank god protons have rubber bumpers. damage assesment 0 .

anyways. we were greeted by the DJ who so conveniently was on his way up for his shift.

JD's his name. cool guy. gave us a tip or two on getting the style and tempo right for our gig.

Yee ler playing around with a RM 6k piece of equipment .

They asked the usual stuff and yee er did some beatboxing + singing with jac on air!

We kinda had fun and gained some experience from this. Manythanks to Red Fm and dryck who arranged this meet up.

New Year Resolution

After a grueling 409 hours and 36 minutes into the new year. i think i have decided what i should pursue for the new year..

1.strive to be a better person
2.STUDY HARD.
3. build up music theory.
4. write my own song.
5. go back to freestyling football.
6. make more friends.
7. keep in touch with all of my friends.
8. procrastinate less
9. treat other people better
10.try to help more people
11. find a companion?

i really doubt the probability of item 11 on the list. urgh. new year, new hopes. the odds are not in favour of me as usual. new hopes my foot.

life is hard. compared to what you might say...

i dont really know..

i wish, pray, hope, want, desire, lust, NEED all this 11 things to be achieved this year.
i really do..

will work hard... and harder, and EVEN MORE HARDER if i MUST.

P.S challenge

Actually i wasn't suppose to be involved in this event. last minute changes and ikhwan had to pull out so i took his place. anyways this prudential service challenge crew came to our college like 10 months ago and organised a mini challenge thingy. so the peeps who managed to get thru will be eligible to take part in the "grand finals" at the curve. however, everyone that wrote their name down was called up, so... the qualification round don't mean a thing.

anyways had to woke up friggin early. around 8 am. and it was a saturday MIND YOU.

As usual. reached there. we thought we were late, but in fact we were one of the earliest people there.boohoo. suprise suprise.



Met up with Lik Xiang, Mel Win, Yee En, Dai lou, Joshen, and Satish. we already formed our alliances. Teamwork people =).


After awhile of " the launching is soon" replies from the organisers. we decided to eat breakfast.

by theway. all we got was shitty shirts from prudential. i was expecting t-shirts but they gave us collar shirts. i guess they wanted a corporate image for their events. FREE SIZE. and bloody hell it was black.



Finally came the briefing time. DJ phat fabes from flyfm(i think) was there. He was the MC for the day. comments kept flowing about him being slim. so DJ phat fabes is now known as DJ slim fabes. anyways, the briefing went on . blablabla. then they dispersed us again and ask us to wait for the "flagging off" by a "hot lady". now this is the biggest con job ever aside from the time they asked us to come.

it was basically about 1030 when we had our briefings. then, this bunch of dancers came out and performed. it was REALLY HOT! the weather i mean. not the dancers. all of us tolerated the heat of the sun for about 5 mins when people started fleeing the scene to seek shade. the sun was just torturing us.




one of the dancers were pretty good. and not to mention hot. maybe cause she has purple hair. i like purple hair. =)

Anyways. soon, we had the flagging off which was definitely not by a "hot lady" unless you're interested in older aged women.

Dryck started off our very "wise move" by running with the crowd . we ran ran ran to station 6. whereas we supposed to be at station 1 which so happens to be next to the stage where we were flagged off. bummer! but now that we know of station 6. better take note =) .

The challenges at each station weren't that hard. the mobile phone became an essential tool as communication between teams was vital towards us being sucessful. station whereabouts where exchanged via mobile phone with lik xiang and mel win.

there were a bunch of negros from KDU that were pretty funny. haha. all for the fun of it. =)
we were basically running all over the place. tiring but there is something exciting to it.

finally we've done everything. and ran back to the starting line. boohoo. came in 17th place. whereas mel win came in 9th. i don't know what satish got though.

anyways, tomorrow have to go to the curve again to know the "results" .
logically speaking, i don't see a need to that. probably just another gimmick to con us contestants to go support the event. dryck took a notebook for me. HURHUR. at least i got something from the event. conclusion: time well spent =).

inferior

yesterday we had this futsal specially for big boss andrew ng chee tat. hur hur. many thanks to everyone who came and everyone who helped out , especially jun jie =) , and that sopau who tried to help out. hohohohoho.

anyways. futsaled for 2 hours, obviously we were pawned. =(

we had fun anyways. sopau performed a stunt and fell face down. hurt his ankle.
and jun jie bloody drove his MERC and park behind my car. LOL. my car devalued already. =(

then after that. went wai sek kai eat. then LMAO. got ppl invite for futsal sommore. 530 - 630. so basically the others were reluctant.

i went anyways. drove straight there and played with jia sen and gang. so it was 3 hours futsal for me. friggin exhausted after that.

bytheway. something super funny. jun jie was following out of PJ. then somehow we got cut off. then jun jie called me. say he no $ to pay toll for NPE. i was like LOL! WTF? drive MERC no money pay toll ! LOOOOOOOOOOOL !!

anyways. first went pick up joe. then pick up dog . then andrew

we had vietnamese food as all the other places were full. queue's were everywhere. couldn't get into laundry's also. =(

Yi peng, Kar leng , Michelle Jane and Dai sou chrystal was there too. so it wasn't a sausage fest after all. haha.after eating and chatting abit, the main theme of the night was boss jokes. so kel ton go much of the flak. anyways. after eating we went to baskin's to grab a tub of icecream. i think i still owe joe and jason money. LOL.

everywhere was pretty packed.

anyways. lol we find a place and sat and just chilled while indulging in the icecream. then after awhile zhang came and join us. he super dai lou. come and wtf us hahhaha cause we ate already and wanted us 10 ppl to stare at him eat LOL! no la kidding la. in the end he also paiseh la. hahahahaha. anyways.

after that we went kah jun's hse in BU4. chill abit. his house got bbq party. his family was a havoc bunch. haha . his grandpa brought us all each a can of beer and ask us clear stock. friggin hell it was booze heaven man. got white wine, red wine, chivas, etc etc. LOL.

after that me and the boys split up. me and joe went back to curve while they went to OU.

anyways, met up with yun ling and zkit. then called mel win and met up with him too. din know hui yi was in the vicinity also. too packed. friggin too many ppl . LOL.

so there wasn't really a countdown like 10- 0 at curve. LOL . i knew it was new year when the fire works went up. it was a pretty dazzling show. quite long. but somehow, we were left and missed the climax. zzzzzzzzzzzz. after that went around looking for joe's other bunch of frens, then left for home.

parked at BU4 so it wasn't much of a hassle getting out.

sigh. 2007 has passed. time to look forward to a new year? i guess.
