Kelisa "worst car in the world"

Familliar looking car found everywhere in Malaysia. The pride of malaysia as you would say seriously made me proud today!!
The Perodua Kelisa is a compact car based on a 7th generation Daihatsu Mira, and manufactured by Perodua. It has a maximum speed of 88 mph and can achieve about 55 miles per gallon. The car has a three-cylinder 989cc petrol DOHC four-valve engine (EJ-DE engine)with electronic fuel injection system, it also comes with another variant that comes with an 847cc engine with lower specifications.
This car attracted the attention of Jeremy Clarkson.British motoring critic and BBC presenter.
"This is without doubt the worst car, not just in its category but in the world. Over three years it will cost you 13.5p per mile. This makes it the cheapest car to run. Fine, but the cheapest house is a small tent. It has a top speed of 88mph but takes so long to reach it that no one has ever lived long enough to verify the claim, the inside is tackier than Anthea Turner’s wedding and you don’t want to think what would happen if it bumped into a lamppost. Also its name sounds like a disease." - Jeremy Clarkson, Times Online
"It has a top speed of 88mph but takes so long to reach it that no one has ever lived long enough to verify the claim"
LOL this is super insulting!
and to top it up!
he described the Kelisa as "a car built in a jungle clearing by people who go to work in shoes made from leaves"
That's pretty amusing and insulting at the same time.
And he also did this stupid outrageous thing which is defintely dumb and retarded by any means.
Try doing that to other cars.it'll end up the same way i suppose.oh well doesn't prove anything.i guess he was just trying to say that this car wasn't built in a manner it was suppose to be.it was build to be a money factory instead of being out of one's passion for cars.
It appears that Jeremy Clarkson's opinion like the one shown in this video have caught the attention of the Parliament. Makes you wonder what they talk about in the parliment though.
PERODUA Kelisa is not the worst car in the world as claimed by a foreign automotive critic, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Abdul Raman Suliman.
Instead, he said the model scored the highest points in quality in the JD Power Asia Pacific customer satisfaction survey.
“The comment ‘This is without doubt the worst car, not just in its category but in the world’ on Kelisa is only a personal view by the critic Jeremy Clarkson.
Ahaha all this statistics will come out.blah blah highest marks.
"He is just like a football commentator who does not play football but he knows the game,” he said.
and he even had a go at jeremy clarkson!LOL
and what got me thinking was this,
"Earlier, Abdul Raman said Malaysia modified the cars meant for export to meet the importing country's safety standards and requirements. "
Ooh!?
Hmmm i interpret it as they give us tin cans here while they upgrade the kelisa's so that they can be exported as other countries won't accept tin cans?hmm. All in the name of perodua!way to go malaysia. this one's for the records.Worst car in the world!
where's malaysian book of records when you need them!?this is another silly record to add to their books! woohoo!
