Call me outdated. yeah hell yeah i am! but i just have to do a little something on this movie.
Saving Private Ryan. 1998 directed none other by steven spielberg the man himself.
every second of this movie kept me off my feet. every moment captured made me felt more and more trapped in its setting.
this movie may not be entirely accurate but it certainly brought forth the black and white truth of war.
the heroism, and noble perspective of the war stretched to a point of no return replaced by cruel gory violent actions of humans.
The storming of Omaha beach. D- day as they called it. this particular scene was potrayed so very realistically. everything was shot in detail.
This dood in the movie. somehow his my favourite person. a sniper. i like the way he recites bible verses upon sneaking up on his enemies. sad to say he got killed.
Be warned however. this movie is definitely not for the faint hearted.
It is very gory and realistic, and at some points the plot just makes you want to bite anything that you're hugging. i did. i bit my pillow =/
